Here's my inspiration photo:
Tampa Business Information

and here's the layout I created:

Both of my kiddos have been playing soccer for 8 years now, so there seems to be no limit to the soccer pages I have to create! This was my son's 10th portrait, and since he was posing with a soccer ball, it was the perfect fit for the hop! I pulled the colors from my inspiration picture, and had a little help from Sketches in Thyme Sketch #75.

Ok, time for you to head on to the next stop, Janet, and see what fabulous layout she has to show you! If you get lost along the way, just head back to Child's Play Challenges for the master list of hoppers! =) T

Hello Mr. Brightside!

Time for a new sketch at Twisted Sketches, this week the twist is "Animal". Since my son just rescued a very old, blind and deaf cat from the woods last week, I had the perfect photo to use!

For my title, I used a bunch of letters from several different packages of rub-ons in my stash for the ANYTHING GOES challenge at Use It Tuesday. All the leftovers from previous projects, but the miss-matched letters make it fun and whimsical! I've also incorporated a few of the items on this week's itinerary at Desert Island Crafts Challenge, including KRAFT, NO FLOWERS, and a QUOTE FROM A SONG (our cat's name is "Mr. Brightside", a favorite song by The Killers).

Be sure and stop by Twisted Sketches to see the sketch I used, and loads of fun examples from the rest of the DT!! =) T

Playing catch-up today!!

Busy, busy week in the craft room- have a few layouts to share with you:

First, there's a new challenge at Child's Play Challenges, this time we're getting inspiration from a favorite toy, the Easy Bake Oven! I decided to go with the purples and pinks of the actual toy itself, here's what I came up with:

Next up is my layout for the fabulous new sketch at Twisted Sketches, with a twist of yellow. Pics of my kiddos making their own mini-pizzas- just biscuit dough rolled out, then they added sauce and cheese. So simple and made them soooo happy. My son wondered why the title of this page is "yummy" when (in his words) the pizzas look demented!!

Finally, I have this week's layout for Scrap It with a Song. Our first song to scrap with is "Here Comes the Sun" by The Beatles. So much inspiration to be found in this some, I decided to scrap pics of the kiddos at our favorite lake, that we have nicknamed "Lake Sunshine":

Thanks so much for checking in, I hope you'll stop by and visit Child's Play Challenges, Twisted Sketches and Scrap It With a Song- lots of great inspiration to get your mojo going!! =) T

Welcome Winter

Yes, I know it's really spring right now, but in my craft room it could be any season or any year for that matter. There is no rhyme or reason to my scrapbooking time-line! So...today I'm scrapping about winter!! I've been posting once a week for The Crafting Family, and Christine and Renee have decided to take a break for a bit, so sadly, this will be my last weekly post with them for a while.

This was a quick and easy layout to put together- my favorite kind. Started by pulling some coordninating scraps and lining them up along the bottom half. Added a scallop strip across the top of the scraps (this hides any mistakes if your scraps are not perfectly even), and then tucked in my 3 photos. Easy peasy!! For my title, I went to my favorite technique, cutting each letter out from the Cricut 5x. The I run the letters through the xyron, stack them and you have your own faux chipboard letters. I also ran each of the top letters through the big shot to give them a fun embossed dotted look before adding to the stack!=) T

Challenges:
-The Crafting Family weekly post
-Shopping Our Stash punch it out

All The Right Moves- Scraplifting at True XOXO

Hello April! time for a new challenge at True XOXO, this month we are scraplifting eachother!! We each had the task of choosing a DT member (all super-secret of course!!) and lifting a layout. First off, it was sooo much fun to browse through all the designers' blogs and check out what they were working on. I finally decided on a the "Summer Suits You" layout from Christa; here's the layout that I created:

I pulled inspiration from her leger background, the bright red paper, the wonderful pom-pom fringe and the title placement. So much fun to scraplift, especially when there are such talented designers to inspire!! Want to get in on the fun? Head on over to True XOXO and see what the rest of the DT created, then link up your own scraplift inspired by one of our layouts! =) T

Challenges:
-True XOXO scraplifting
-Unique Crafters paper flowers
-Creative Belli 3 shapes
-Ribbon Carousel Challenge something from a spool

You Bring Style and Color!

It's a new month and a new challenge over at The Craft Garden! This month the challenge is to get crafty using pastel colors. Here's what I came up with:

Friday was "Fashion Disaster Day" at my daughter's school, and while her miss-matched out fit was adorable, I couldn't help but notice that this was exactly how I dressed every day in the 80's. Is she saying that I was a fashion disaster?!?!?

For my title i found inspiration in the Gwen Stefani song, "Harajuku Girls", and used the line, "You bring style and color". Love using song lyrics as titles, there's always a line out there that works perfect with my page! I printed the title on my pattern paper, and then layered it with a couple other patterns and a couple chipboard embellies.

Feel like crafting in pastels? head on over to The Craft Garden and share your creations with us! =) T

Challenges:
-The Craft Garden pastel colors
-CAS-ual Friday name that tune
-Creative Craft Challenges anything but a card
-Shopping our Stash circles and dots
